Oversee the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (JDE and People-Trak): Preserve the integrity of the HRIS’ by providing oversight and problem resolution: Participate in system enhancements and upgrades for all HR related modules (scripting, testing, etc.): Evaluate HRIS requirements and abilities based on business needs; recommend system improvements and additional applications to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Maintain internal database files, tables and records. Audit system configurations and processes for efficiency. Create, run and distribute standard and specific ad-hoc reports and queries that are used in strategic workforce planning (related to Benefits, Payroll, Labor Relations, Performance Development, Staffing, etc.) Collaborate with key partners in other functions (other HR team members, Payroll, Finance, IT, etc.) On HRIS related projects: Conduct End-User Training on various applicable modules as needed. Play an active role with several HRIS related special projects, including: Benefit Open Enrollments and Audits, Annual Compensation Statements, AAP/EEOC Reporting, Salary Planning, etc. Assist in managing RCOC intranet site to enhance internal employee communications and messaging Agency specifics include: prepares and distributes confidential documents; processes and monitors RCOC personnel transaction forms, seniority lists & personnel requisitions; diplomatically deals with internal and external callers in a variety of situations. Assists with special projects. Independent judgment is often required. Over-sees and tracks hr budget expenditures; monitors and coordinates RCOC performance appraisal program; maintains confidential information. Provides administrative support for the HR department and executive management level ; prioritizes and forwards mail; creates/distributes correspondence timely and accurately.
Education, training, experience:
Minimum of three (3) years HRIS / data management / I.T. technical support or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the clerical/administrative support field. Associates degree in business, HR or business information systems is required; Bachelors degree is preferred. Professional experience equivalent to formal degree certification will be considered. Intermediate / expert level demonstrated proficiency with a variety of office support software (Excel, Word, JD EDWARDS, Access, etc.). Ability to accurately type a minimum of 50 words per minute; ability to proofread accurately; effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to take action in deadline sensitive situations.
